A Manifesto For Cycling Futures, full version
This manifesto is the result of a groundbreaking collaboration among more than 50 cycling champions from around the world, including researchers, community organizers, urban planners, architects, engineers, and social scientists. Divided into 7 narratives, this manifesto was developed through intensive discussion and collective thinking sessions, and offers 50 bold, concrete, and even utopian policy actions aimed at reshaping our cities by putting people at the center.
Led by the Urban Cycling Institute, this initiative is not just a call to action, it is an invitation to reimagine our cities. It challenges policymakers to place cycling at the heart of solutions for today’s complex societal challenges.
Imperative and unapologetically ambitious, these policy actions are designed to inspire and guide local, regional, and national decision-makers worldwide, encouraging adaptation to diverse urban contexts.
